Your annual membership dues help create a shared programming fund for the Village. That means we can buy the seeds for Garden Club, supplies for Craft Night, snacks for Book Club, equipment for recreational groups, and treats for our celebrations without asking everyone to chip in a few more dollars every time we get together.

Our goal is for most regular Village clubs, activities, and celebrations to be included with membership. Occasionally, an activity with a significant additional cost—such as tickets, excursions, or specialty materials—may require an additional fee.

We all contribute to the Village, and then we get to enjoy what we build together.

Membership Dues

The Village Social Club is built and supported by its members. Every member pays annual dues—including members of our Board of Directors.

Individual Membership — $95/year
One member

Duo Membership — $145/year
Two members from the same household

Family Membership — $225/year
Up to four members from the same household

Larger Families — +$25/year per additional household member

Where do my dues go?

Your membership dues go back into making the Village happen.

Dues help fund things like supplies for hobby and interest clubs, books and materials, community garden supplies, recreational equipment, food and refreshments, crafts and children's activities, seasonal celebrations, event décor, gathering spaces, insurance, administrative expenses, and other costs associated with operating the Club.

Our goal is to use our shared membership fund so that most regular member clubs, activities, supplies, and Village celebrations can be enjoyed without everyone being asked to contribute additional money each time we gather.

Some activities with substantial outside costs—such as admission tickets, travel, specialty workshops, or unusually expensive materials—may still require an additional fee. Whenever an additional cost applies, members will know before registering.

A shared investment in our Village

Not every member will participate in every activity, and that's okay. One family may love Garden Club, another may never miss a holiday party, and someone else might come primarily for Book Club or recreational activities.

Our dues aren't intended to operate as individual event admission. They're a shared investment in having a thriving social community available to all of our members.

Fundraising and other organizational support also help us stretch those dollars further and continue offering free public community events throughout the year.

A village isn't built by one person. It's built every time someone shows up, lends a hand, shares an idea, teaches someone something new, welcomes a new face, volunteers their time, or simply helps another member feel like they belong.

That's something worth celebrating.

Each quarter, The Village Social Club will recognize a member or family whose contributions have helped make our community a little stronger.

Our quarterly Village Member Celebration might recognize someone for volunteering at events, sharing a skill or hobby with the group, supporting another family, helping behind the scenes, leading a club or activity, bringing a great idea to the Village, or simply being someone who consistently helps create the welcoming community we're working toward.

Recognized members or families may receive a special Village gift, local experience, family activity, gift basket, or another surprise as a thank-you from our community.

There aren't points to earn or hours to track. Community isn't a competition. This is simply our way of noticing the people who make the Village feel like a village—and showing them that their contribution mattered.

Because when people take care of their community, their community should take care of them, too.

Life happens. Families welcome new babies, lose loved ones, move into new homes, experience unexpected hardships, recover from illness, change jobs, or simply go through seasons when they could use a few more people in their corner.

That's when having a Village matters most.

When a member or family is going through a difficult season or major life transition, The Village Social Club may help bring our community together to offer support.

Depending on the circumstances and what the family is comfortable with, that might look like organizing a meal train, collecting requested household or baby items, coordinating volunteers, helping with practical needs, creating a member-supported fundraiser, or simply finding ways to remind someone that they don't have to navigate everything alone.

Participation in community support is always voluntary, and members are never expected to contribute beyond their own capacity.

This isn't a guaranteed financial benefit of membership, and assistance will depend on the circumstances, available resources, and what our community is able to provide.

It's simply part of what we mean when we say we're building a Village.

Sometimes you contribute. Sometimes you need support. Sometimes all you can do is show up.

There's room in the Village for all three.
